It’s going to be another exciting year for the Positive Playground Committee (PPC) this year as we welcome five new members to our group. This year we are planning some exciting initiatives, including our first fundraising event, to further improve our playground. Find out who the PPC's newest members are and what they have planned for this term.

On 23rd September, the Reception children took part in an exciting ‘number walk’. Armed with cameras, they took to our local streets to hunt for numbers. They found all sorts of numbers in a huge variety of places and were keen to discuss what the numbers are used for, what they tell us and how they help us in our everyday lives.

The leaves are turning and Norfolk House is turning over a new leaf with the help from Eco-club! The club have just started meeting at 3.20pm on a Wednesday, but have already come up with loads of fantastic ideas to help make our school a more energy efficient, sustainable and pleasant place to be. The club have written a mission statement to explain their plans for this term.

Form 4 has had a very busy start to the new term. In English lessons, we have been studying ‘fantasy stories.’ In particular, we have been focussing on settings. The children have been looking at using ‘POAMS,’ in their work. This stands for: Personification; Onomatopoeia; Alliteration; Metaphors; Similes. They have been using a range of resources to enhance their work.
