I hope you will have seen the beautiful new tree on the school field. This was delivered and planted earlier this month in memory of Clare Pughe who was such an enthusiastic supporter of the school. Its coloured leaves and beautiful blossom will remind us all of her, Johnny, Charlie and Olivia in the years to come.
Please do remember to bring into the office any “good as new” items of uniform which you wish to sell on. Name labels must be removed and blazers and duffel coats should be dry cleaned. If you have any doubts about whether or not we will purchase the items, please do check with us first. This week we have used funds raised from these sales to provide t-shirts for twelve pupils from Key Stage 2 who participated in the Thames Turbo Aquathlon on Sunday - more detail to follow in the next bulletin.
On Thursday we held our final Visitors’ Morning of this academic year. Any siblings eligible for entry in September 2014 should now be registered without delay. Thank you.
The Parents Association are preparing for the forthcoming Summer Fair on Sunday 23rd. Pupils joining us in September have been invited to this event with their families to enjoy one of the most popular events of the calendar. I know you will make them welcome.
On Tuesday 25th June all the pupils in the school, both new and existing, will meet their teachers for the forthcoming academic year. This will be followed on Wednesday 26th June by a Meet the Teacher evening for EYFS parents. Those of you with pupils in KS1 and KS2 in September are invited to meet your child’s new teacher on Monday 9th September at 7 p.m.
Rehearsals for the end of year production and practices for sports day are well under way for all the pupils in school. Details and dates are displayed on the diary dates part of this bulletin and I look forward to welcoming you to both events as the year draws to a close.
