This Week on the Field

It's Thanksgiving week. We are planning our special meal and family time for Thursday, just as most of our friends in America are. While we try hard to be thankful every day and find ways to express our gratefulness to each other and to the Lord, we will set aside special time this week to consider all that we have to be thankful for.

Most of all, we are thankful for our Heavenly Father, and His Son, our Savior. Were it not for Him... I can't even begin to think what our life would be like. Obviously, we would not be serving Him - and what joy we would miss.

We are thankful for YOU! Most of you pray for us regularly and many of you give financially. We could not do this work without you!

Also, we are very thankful for His consistent and persistent presence in our lives. What a good Father we have. This song really expresses our hearts.
Standing on this mountaintop
Looking just how far we've come
Knowing that for every step
You were with us

Kneeling on this battle ground
Seeing just how much You've done
Knowing every victory
Was Your power in us

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy, our hearts can say
Yes, our hearts can say

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Scars and struggles on the way
But with joy, our hearts can say
Never once did we ever walk alone
Carried by Your constant grace
Held within Your perfect peace
Never once, no, we never walk alone

Never once did we ever walk alone
Never once did You leave us on our own
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
Every step we are breathing in Your grace
Evermore we'll be breathing out Your praise
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
You are faithful, God, You are faithful
Your are, You are faithful, God, You are faithful

Yesterday, I (Chris) had the honor of preaching at Grace church in the morning service. The theme was "What do we have in Christ?" (Forgiveness, Salvation, and Eternal Life) It was a real treat to be there. Most (by most, I mean almost all) of the families with special needs kids do not feel comfortable in the morning service. There are lots of reasons that are not important to print here, but suffice it to say that we are so glad we can offer a service on Sunday evenings for these precious families!

Last night we had another good crowd and the message was based on the story of the prodigal son from the Gospel of Luke. A call to salvation was given. We are seeing people move closer, but we are praying for some decisions soon. We don't want to see people get stuck in the questioning phase. At some point, we want to see the Spirit draw them to salvation. Thank you for praying with us in this!
Here are some pics of some of the beautiful children who were there last night. There were lots of kids - these are just a couple of pics I was able to snap.

Thank you for your continued prayer and financial support. None of this is possible without you. We understand that and are very grateful to God and to you, our supporters. Your support matters and it makes a real difference.

  • The ministry of the Gospel here in Ukraine. We have sowed a lot of seeds lately. We will continue to water them and, hopefully, harvest them soon.
  • Both of our fellow Americans that we work with here in Brovary are traveling for the Thanksgiving holiday.
  • An American co-laborer here is actively sharing the Gospel with her family. Pray that the seeds of the Gospel will find receptivity.
  • Pray for Blake and Hannah - who are spending the Thanksgiving holiday in America away from us (and pray for us as we spend it here without them).
We would LOVE to hear from you!
You can reply to this email or email us directly at chris@umok.org or mary@umok.org .
Would you pray and consider joining with us financially in the work in Ukraine as we begin these new ministries?
We have several "mercy" ministry needs that are new and completely unfunded.

Thank YOU for your prayer support, your financial support, and your encouragement.
We could NOT do this without you.
