Give A Mile’s Holiday Campaign Officially Launches Today!
This is our most ambitious holiday campaign yet, and it’s the first year we are expanding the flight impact and fundraising efforts to the United States. Our goal is to provide 40 flights by the New Year. We aim to raise 4 million points and miles to make that possible. You can help us reach our goal by donating today or becoming a Flight Hero.
You Can Be a Flight Hero Many of the individual points, miles, and money donations come through Give A Mile’s extremely generous and important group of Flight Heroes. Flight Heroes fundraise through their networks. Last year, Flight Heroes raised 887,000 miles. Potential Flight Heroes can learn more on Give A Mile’s website or reach out to email@example.com to sign up today. We would like to have as many flight heroes secured by Nov 15 as possible to ensure we meet our fundraising goal.
"Anyone can be a Flight Hero,” said Dan Godsell, Give A Mile’s Community Connections Director (Volunteer). “We recommend Flight Heroes raise a minimum of 25,000 miles and run their campaigns for 25 days. It’s been so successful for our Flight Heroes to enlist the help of their family and friends in donating a few thousand miles to get to that goal.”
Air Canada Aeroplan Campaign Live Our strong partnership with Air Canada Aeroplan continues. We aim to raise 2 million points by Dec 31, 2021. Air Canada is generously donating 250,000 miles to help us toward our goal. You can donate Aeroplan points (starting at 1,000 points) by clicking the button below.
I wanted to share this with you on behalf of one of our flight recipients.
The traveler originally reached out to me for help with flights for her and her daughter from Calgary to Vancouver, BC. Her father was residing in a care facility in Coquitlam and was dealing with advanced dementia and stage four cancer.
They were both able to visit her Father before his passing a couple of months ago. She reached out to me again a couple of weeks ago to thank us for for the flights. It was very emotional - she and her family are going through really tough times (the Traveler is also battling stage 4 breast cancer) and she was extremely thankful.
She sent me a letter of thanks and some 'angel wings' charms that she asked me to share with each of you Another tough but amazing moment and a great reminder of why we do what we do. You are all amazing - thank you!
