A thousand miles for No Limits

Congratulations to Martin Roscoe and Jamie Mogridge-Percy who cycled over 1,000 miles across the country, raising nearly £2,000 for us!

Martin Roscoe, one of our trustees, cycled 874 miles over 18 days from Lands’ End to John O’Groats, while Jamie Mogridge-Percy cycled 165 miles over 3 days from Whitehaven to Tynemouth.

Annabel Hodgson, CEO at No Limits, said “We’re so grateful to Martin and Jamie for taking on these cycle challenges for No Limits. With rising numbers of young people needing help from us, this money will help us provide more support where it’s needed most.”

Young Carers Festival

Last month we took 13 young carers to Fairthorne Manor for the Children Society’s annual Young Carers Festival, where almost 2,000 young carers from across the country came together to have fun, relax, socialise and have their voices heard about issues that affect them.

The young carers got involved in a range of activities during the weekend, including kayaking, paddle boarding, zip wiring, abseiling, samba drumming, arts and crafts, well-being workshops and more!

The young carers had a brilliant time and our thanks goes to Happy Days, INEOS Holdings Ltd and all those who donated to make this fantastic opportunity happen.

Youth Health Champions

It was great to have our staff deliver a workshop on emotional health and wellbeing last month as part of LifeLab’s unique training, which saw students at secondary schools across Southampton become Young Health Champions.

No Limits' emotional health and wellbeing workshop included training on healthy conversations, making health pledges, practical activities looking at the effects of smoking, alcohol, educational games, group work, discussions, role play and listening to guest speakers.

Have Your Say

Twice a year No Limits undertakes a participation survey with young people accessing our services. This allows us to take a snapshot of how young people are accessing No Limits, how they feel about the service they receive and what difference the support they receive makes.

This year we had some fantastic results! 96% of young people said they were happy with the service they received, 95% of young people said they felt they were treated fairly and 95% of young people said staff knew and understood what they were talking about.
