No Limits' CEO to step down

Having grown the organisation from 2 members of staff 23 years ago, to the successful organisation that we have today, our current Chief Executive, Annabel, has made the decision to step down.

"In March next year I will hand over the CEO role. I love No Limits and it has been an absolute privilege to work with you all, for all these years (23!). But I don't want to be in charge anymore - I want to fit a bit of work around playing my ukulele, growing my garden, being with family and friends and saving the world, and hope to stay involved with No Limits in some way."

We have masses to thank Annabel for, not least for positioning No Limits ready for a new Chief Executive to move the organisation to the next exciting stage of its development.

If you have a passion and the drive to make a difference to children and young people in our area and you have the ability to lead, motivate and develop a strong team culture, then we welcome you to submit an application to become the next CEO at No Limits.

Mental Health Funding

We're excited to be one of three charities in the South East to receive funding from the Department of Health & Social Care to support 18-25 year olds with their mental health through one-to-one support, group work and counselling in Southampton! The funding will allow more children and young people aged 25 and under to access local services to support their mental health with early intervention, helping to improve access to support outside of NHS services.

COSMO enjoy outdoor adventure at Go Ape

Our COSMO (Children of Substance misusing Others) group had a wonderful time at Go Ape earlier this month!

The trip, which was funded by the Zurich Community Trust, was an opportunity for the young people to build their confidence and strengthen friendships with like-minded young people.

Kate, a young person who attends No Limits’ COSMO group, said “I had an amazing day with the COSMO group and Zurich. Taking part in a new experience has helped my confidence to grow and I enjoyed making new friends.”

Thank you to Zurich Community Trust for funding the trip and taking part on the day.

Make a SWish!
Wednesday 25th September, 2-4pm and 6-8pm

A group of three fashionistas have teamed up to help save the planet and support us this September by holding a Swish event. A swish, also known as a clothes-swapping party, is a fun way to freshen up your wardrobe while raising money for a good cause. Money raised from the event will go towards No Limits, with any un-claimed clothes set to be donated to homeless charity, Emmaus.

The Swish will take place on Wednesday 25th September from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Wellow Village Hall, Wellow, Southampton. Early-bird tickets are £5 per person, with tickets sold after 8th September or on the door priced at £10 per person. For more information contact Fiona on 07469 246722 or Glenda on 07929 016225 or search ‘Make a Swish’ on Eventbrite.

If you’d like to volunteer your time to help serve refreshments, sell raffle tickets or donate a cake, we’d love to hear from you!
