A message from our Chair of Trustees

To all our staff, volunteers and supporters,

I was delighted to be invited to take on the role of Chair of Trustees at No Limits last month. I have worked as a volunteer Trustee at No Limits for a number of years and it is a privilege to work with an organisation with so many staff, volunteers and supporters who are dedicated to improving lives and making a difference to children and young people in the area.

This year we have once again helped to change the lives of thousands of children and young people and no doubt 2020 will bring more opportunities to support those who are most in need.

On behalf of the Trustees, I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for supporting No Limits in 2019 and I'd like to wish you a very happy Christmas and a happy, healthy new year.

With best wishes

A taste of Christmas

Yesterday we held a Christmas meal for vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people in Southampton to bring them a taste of Christmas.

The meal, which took place at our Advice Centre, was served by the Millbrook 457 Battery Royal Artillery Army Reserves, who helped to organize, prepare, cook and serve the meal to the young people who might not otherwise have a Christmas meal this year.

The young people were treated to Christmas puddings, mince pies and Christmas crackers courtesy of Tesco, Dibden, and received a Christmas gift thanks to hundreds of donations of gifts made to the charity during November and December.

Thank you for your support

Here at No Limits we’ve been overwhelmed by the amount of support given to us for those in need this Christmas. We've received over 500 Christmas gifts from individuals, local businesses and community groups, as well as donations of clothes, toiletries and food for the street homeless and sofa surfing young people we support.

A group of volunteers also spent an evening helping to wrap 250 gifts ready in time for the No Limits Christmas meal.

We're so grateful for all you've done to support us and for helping to bring festive cheer to our young people this Christmas.

Kerry the sexual health elf

Kerry our Sexual Health Elf has been visiting schools and colleges in Southampton and further afield during December to some share festive cheer, as well as give out free condoms, sexual health advice and chlamydia testing.

Christmas e-cards

Today (Friday 20th) is the last day to send your Christmas cards by first class, but if you haven’t got time to rush to the shop, buy, write and send your cards, do not fear as you can send a festive No Limits e-card in lieu of Christmas cards.

All we ask is you make a donation, however big or small, to help us to support homeless and sofa surfing young people this Christmas.
