Make a difference this Christmas

Christmas is a wonderful time of year to catch up with friends and family, give and receive gifts and indulge in festive food. For many of the young people we support, Christmas looks very different. They might not have a family to turn to, a stocking to wake up to, or a Christmas meal to enjoy.

This Christmas we’d love you to help us to make a difference to the lives of vulnerable children and young people in Southampton and there’s lots of ways you could get involved:

Festive Wrapping Session:
This year we’ll be giving over 200 gifts to our young people which have been donated by our wonderful supporters. We’re holding a festive wrapping session on Wednesday 11th December between 5:30-6:30pm at 34 The Avenue, SO17 1XN and we’d love you to help us wrap all the gifts and bring along some wrapping paper, tape and scissors too! Want to sign up? Get in touch!

Christmas Carol Concert:
We’re excited to be holding a family friendly Christmas Carol Concert at the beautiful Chilworth Manor. The Christmas Carol Concert is at 3:30pm on Sunday 15th December where there will be carols sung why the wonderful WinSingers Choir, festive children's activities, a raffle and an appearance from Santa!

Tickets are £10 for adults, £5 for children, £25 for a family ticket (2 adults and 2 children) and children under 5 go free! Seasonal refreshments are included in the ticket price.

Christmas E-Cards:
Why not help to save the environment and support vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people in need by making a donation to No Limits in lieu of sending festive cards?

The average person will spend £30 on Christmas cards and postage, which could instead help to pay for an emergency pack containing a sleeping bag, warm clothes, everyday essentials and Christmas treats for a young person who is street homeless or sofa surfing, as well as a Christmas meal for a young person at our Advice Centre.

Everyone who makes a donation to our Christmas card campaign, however big or small, can receive a festive e-thank you from us for you to send to your family and friends.

Our new website is now live

We're excited to announce that our newly designed website is now live!

After consulting our young people, we decided to undergo a re-design to make the website more accessible for the young people we support.

We're so pleased with the new website designed by Atelier Studios and we hope you'll like it to!

Check it out here: www.nolimitshelp.org.uk

Alcohol Awareness

It was great to have our DASH team provide support to young people around alcohol consumption at our Advice Centre earlier this month as part of Alcohol Awareness Week!

We held an information stand where young people could find out about the effects of alcohol, as well learn some top tips on how to reduce drinking.

Stacking Chairs

Our Primary Mental Health Workers have been supporting young people with their mental health through using these stacking chairs.

The stacking chairs act as a visual aid for young people to visualise what happens when we juggle too much in life without asking for help.

Our Primary Mental Health workers then support the young people to encourage and empower them to ask for help and guidance when they feel like life becomes too difficult.
