Hello my loves!

There is a huge difference between trying to control and trying to organize. To attempt to control is to attempt to bring order to a chaotic, infinite universe. Such attempts inevitably lead to anxiety and fear.

To organize is to arrange a finite set of things in a particular pattern. The key word there is "finite". Within the limited there is the possibility of order. And we may be granted the power in a particular moment to affect this order. Our plans to go somewhere or do something may come to fruition.

The capacity to organize is a human trait. What we call knowledge is the ongoing organization of the observations of our species. It is a tool that enables us to construct and destruct.

In the language of the Living Teaching of Advaita, to control is to futilely attempt to author whereas to organize is simply to do.

The recognition of the difference between the two is a huge step in the process of Peace.

May it find you now!

A Biography of
Ramesh S. Balsekar

A biography of the Advaita sage Ramesh Balsekar. This anecdotal biography is dotted with glimpses into his life, from his days as a boy growing up in Mumbai's Saraswat community, to his years spent in the London School of Economics. It follows his career with the Bank of India of which he became the General Manager, and dwells on his close interaction with his own guru, Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj. The book culminates with Ramesh's own insights into the teaching of Advaita, of which he is regarded as the foremost contemporary exponent today. A highlight of this book is the crisp and witty, yet inspiring, essay by Ramesh on 'How do I live my life?' Here, with great clarity and simplicity, Ramesh puts across the basic tenets of his complete understanding of Advaita.

The biography is exquisitely printed on Art Paper in full color, and is complemented with photographs of Ramesh as a young banker, of his wife and family, pictures of his guru Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj and unique portraits of Ramesh the embodiment of an enlightened Master.

It is not often realized that discipline, or self-discipline, implies suppression, and that a certain amount of success results in pride whilst a failure means frustration.  When discipline is not imposed but comes about as the natural consequence of a deep understanding, there is neither pride nor frustration because then there is true humility which is not the opposite of pride, but the absence of the “me” which in effect means the absence of any entity to feel either humble or proud, the absence of the interrelated opposites of pride and humility.

I just left the Zoom because the resonance was too overwhelming.  I plan to be back.  But, wow.  Talk about drinking from a firehose.  I'm still shaky as hell.  It's so damn big.  Too big to imagine.

I saw you in a dream last week and that's why I came today.  I was standing in front of you and you raised up your arm.  There were a handful of dinner forks in your clenched hand.  You pointed them at the spot between my eyebrows, an inch or two away and I went into ecstasy.

The sensation was powerful enough to wake me up and the dream ended, but the ecstasy continued for several minutes as I lay in bed.  As today, it was quite overwhelming.

So there it is.

Love.  Big love.
