Cow Hollow School Treeschoolers on CNN!

The environmentalists of tomorrow are taking action today!
On November 10, 2021, CNN held the first-ever Call to Earth Day. Celebrating a planet worth protecting, CNN partnered with Cow Hollow School, individuals, and organizations across the world to raise awareness of environmental issues.

As we head into the holiday season and throughout the year we are always looking for ways for our students to engage with the community, give back and be stewards of the world they inhabit. In November, Cow Hollow School was asked by the Presidio Trust and CNN to participate in the first-ever Call to Earth Day. This was a wonderful opportunity for our Big Orchard class as they have compassionately and courageously taken on the role of “green citizens,” as they delve into a thread of inquiry rooted in environmental justice. With the help of the Cow Hollow School tree-schoolers, a dozen new redwoods were planted for Call to Earth Day!

Wishing you and your family a wonderful holiday season,

Leslie Norris

R.E.A.L. Parenting and Teaching with Darcy Campbell: REGISTER with eventbrite HERE(Tickets $30)
February 15, 2022.  7:00 pm - 8:45pm

This workshop will help you think about how to remove the fear and fantasy from your parenting or teaching. To parent or teach mindfully means that we commit to being aware of our own thoughts, beliefs and actions and parent and teach from facts: who we are, who our children are, and from our values. As a result of removing fear and fantasy from our parenting and teaching we become more able to accurately, lovingly guide, empower, and protect our children. This workshop will offer you tools and questions so that you may mindfully, responsively, respectfully, be in the presence of children. In doing so, we change the world!
