Dear Wesley UMC Member,
Our congregation has shared both joys and challenges during transitions this year. These include our outreach of mission and ministry teams, the celebration of new members, our worship as a faith community, and the welcoming presence we provided for homeless parents and children hosted in our building through the collaborative Family Promise program. We’ve participated in and benefited from vibrant ministries led by the following capable clergy and staff:
**Pastor Cheryl Meachen’s spirited leadership, shepherding Wesley's faith community while refamiliarizing herself with our congregation, commissions, and programs
**Ben Greene, Ken Gallager, and Alan Schulte, the leaders of Wesley's music ministries, which enrich our worship, inspire us, and deepen our faith
**Custodian Dennis Broussard, website developer Deborah Venator and office assistant Marybeth Fairhurst, all of whom keep our building clean and orderly and ensure that our congregants and the community are well informed
**Director of Children-and-Youth Ministries Christina Catino’s enthusiastic start up here with new ideas for our youngsters' programs
**Childcare providers Emma Champlin and Taylor Barnes, who continue to faithfully care for our preschoolers following Christ’s loving example
In the midst of changes, what has remained constant is the commitment of each staff member who helps make possible the worship experience, opportunities for spiritual enrichment, and the important mission work our church undertakes in Concord and in the world. We would like to invite you to contribute toward a gift for our staff to show your appreciation for a job well done. Receiving your gift by Sunday, December 15, will enable us to present them with their gifts before Christmas. Envelopes will be available in the church pews, by the bulletins and in the narthex. You may place your gift in the offering plate or mail it to the church.
May you experience a blessed Advent season as we look forward to celebrating the birth of the Christ child.
