A call to action

We are excited to be remember and celebrate our exodus from Egypt next week. Happy Passover!
Stocks of our popular New Australian Haggadah are running low, so don't miss out and purchase yours today at haggadah.com.au.

Pesach is the perfect opportunity to reflect on how lucky we are to live in Australia. The more freedom we enjoy here, the greater our responsibility to end slavery and oppression of others in the world. Of Australia’s closest neighbours 18 out of  20 are developing countries, with some of the highest rates of child malnutrition and maternal deaths in the world.

We can use the Pesach seder as an opportunity to not only rejoice at our ancestors liberation from slavery, but also commit to actions we can take to help people who are still enslaved today.
It is not enough simply to remember, for the seder is, and has always been, a call to ACTION.

We will not be bystanders to those who are enslaved today, we will be upstanders.

Gary and the Stand Up team

We took our 6 favourite illustrations from the New Australian Haggadah and turned them into beautiful greeting cards. Buy them online here. All illustrations by the talented Talia Lipshut.
Looking for some more social justice inspiration at your seder:
Check out the AJWS supplement here and NIF's supplement here. Tons of thought provoking content in both.
We would like to introduce the 2016 Stand Up Fellows. Click here to read their bios. This past weekend we enjoyed our opening retreat exploring themes around Authentic Leadership.
