Welcome the stranger, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt.

Freedom. Justice. Love
Wishing all our friends and supporters a meaningful Passover.

Welcome the Stranger is repeated 36 times in the Torah. We remember our history of being slaves so that we are grateful for the freedom we enjoy today. However, can we ever be fully joyous when there are so many people in the world today who are still enslaved?
This Passover, let's think about how we can Stand Up to ensure those who are still suffering in the world today can be liberated.

We had two successful events this week: The Creative Seder Toolkit in Melbourne, and the launch of the Standing Up exhibit at the Sydney Jewish Museum. Thanks to all those who attended.
We also published two articles on The Well this week.

On the 10th and 11th May we will be having Stand Up's inaugural Festival of Giving. We are excited to celebrate our achievements with you.

The Creative Seder Toolkit was a powerful evening where participants gained some new tools to use at their seders this year. Click here for some resources that will ignite a social justice discussion at your seder tonight.
David Gonski AC launched the Standing Up photo exhibition in Sydney last week at the Sydney Jewish Museum. Over 60 guests left feeling inspired by his words and humility. Click here to read more about the event.
We have published 2 articles on The Well this week: Sharing our Freedom by George Newhouse, and The things we carry by Brie Shroot. Two excellent articles about the modern day messages in the Passover story.
