Dear Friends,

Hope you had a wonderful summer.

We've had a massive few months of positive impact at Stand Up. Through the generous support of donors and volunteers like YOU, our summer programs have empowered Sudanese refugees and Indigenous youth, and inspired young Jewish changemakers across Victoria and NSW.

If reading the 4 stories below gives you bit of FOMO  - I encourage you to get a piece of the action yourself by volunteering or donating today!

Together, let's create a better world in 2018!
Stand Up - CEO
13 Jewish volunteers travelled to the remote communities of Toomelah & Boggabilla (NSW) in Jan & ran engaging holiday programs for Aboriginal youth. To top it off these leaders gained a deeply moving & personal insight into Indigenous culture.
BIG END OF YEAR PARTY: Refugee Women's Group
Over 60 people - including Stand Up volunteers, Sudanese women & lots of pre-schoolers - celebrated the group's achievements, together with our special supporters including Tabitha Lovett (Besen Family Foundation - pictured with Fatima). The result was an afternoon full of delicious food, cultural sharing & emotional speeches.
We ran the first ever Stand Up ABC holiday intensive for a dynamic group of Barmi boys from Moriah College in January.
PLUS Jessica & Gia (ABC alumni) were inspired to run a Dance Day Camp to raise money for the Aboriginal Children's Advancement Society. Amazing effort girls!!
IMPACTING LIVES: Camp Connections Young Adults Retreat
6 Indigenous young adults from Toomelah & Boggabilla enjoyed a challenging & motivating week at Lake Keepit. With guidance from their Stand Up mentors, they've begun a year of goal setting, study focus and leadership development.
MOVE IN WITH US: We are looking to sublet a beautiful office in our Melbourne HQ. Our friends at Launchpad are moving out in March. Get in touch with Gary if you are interested in coming to have a look at this sun drenched space.
