Mordecai Community Picnic THIS SUNDAY 6/26

Join us on Sunday for music & food!

Hey Mordecai Neighbors,
you are invited to the

35th Annual Community Picnic & Potluck
Sunday, June 25, 4:30-6:30 pm

Mordecai Historic Park

Please bring a side dish!

Join your neighbors for an afternoon of food and fun at the annual Mordecai picnic.
Bring a blanket, some lawn chairs, your favorite salad, side dish or dessert and relax under a shady tree during the 4:30-5:30 p.m. social hour. This is always a fun social event with great music, delicious food, and friendly people to chat with.

This year the music is by the "Person Street Jug Band", a group of talented local musicians including Mordecai residents Isaac Lake and Mike Tutt.

At 5:30 p.m., we’ll dig into the potluck dishes as well as some delicious fried chicken and biscuits. This is an alcohol-free event, so bring the entire family. There will be games and activities on the lawn for the kids.  The neighborhood play wagons will be set up.
For more information please contact Picnic Chairperson Merrilee Jacobson at or 919-274-4539.

Please RSVP on the event page:
We hope to see you on Sunday afternoon!

*Note: In case of inclement weather, we'll gather at Hope Elementary School, 1116 N. Blount St.
