FREE Screening: April 8 from 7-8 am

Walk-ins are welcome. No registration is required. This screening includes:
  • Blood Pressure
  • Height and Weight
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Cholesterol*
  • Glucose*
* Cholesterol and glucose tests are optional.  A blood draw is required for testing and a 10-12 hour fast is recommended.  You are eligible for a cholesterol and glucose test once every six months as part of this free screening. Lab results will be sent to you post-screening.

Oral, Head & Neck Cancer Facts Risk Factors
• Tobacco: cigarettes, snuff, pipes, chewing tobacco, snus, cigars
• Alcohol: excessive consumption
• HPV: sexually transmitted infection with human papillomavirus

Signs and Symptoms
• Lump or sore in mouth or throat
• Hoarseness or change in voice
• Swallowing problems or pain
• Bleeding: nose, mouth or throat

What Can I Do To Protect Myself?
• Stop using Tobacco
• Use Alcohol in moderation
• If  under 26 years old, consult your doctor about the HPV vaccine
• Perform monthly self exams
• Ask your dentist or physician for an oral, head & neck exam
FREE Oral, Head & Neck Cancer Screening

3:30 pm to 5:30 pm


Screening for head and neck cancer is now more important than ever. With a rise in HPV positive oropharyngeal  cancers in younger patients without typical risk factors, it is imperative that everyone knows the risks and everyone gets screened. 

Screening takes less than 10 minutes and is performed by a board certified PCI ear, nose and throat/head and neck specialists.

Screenings will be held inside the Helen G. Nassif Community Cancer Center on Level 2 of PCI Medical Pavilion.
Health Class: Thyroid Cancer

Learn about risk factors and the impact of genetics and family history on thyroid cancer. Dr. Kevin Carpenter, PCI ear, nose and throat/head and neck surgeon will provide an overview of the symptoms, diagnosis, and surgical treatment of thyroid cancer and thyroid masses.

Breast Reconstruction Education Night

  • Valet Parking. Available at the East entrance. Please enter on 1st Avenue SE as indicated by the orange line on the document linked below.
