1 West Fourth Street in Winston-Salem, NC

SIG’s Project Spotlight

Nightingale Realty along with Cassidy Turley and SIG are aiming to have 1 West Fourth Street be the first multi-tenanted office building in downtown Winston-Salem, North Carolina to earn a LEED O+M Gold certification.  This property, a Class-A office building, has had the entire team truly embrace energy performance throughout the certification process. During the performance period, the team has helped reduce energy consumption in the building by 344,000 kWh which equates to a 9% annual savings in just five months’ time!  This tremendous energy savings has led to an increase in the Energy Star score from an 82 to an 86 in that same 5-month time period.  The score has risen so quickly, the team has to figure out how high to set the new Energy Star Target Goal!
