We appreciate your business and value our relationship. Here are some updates on what's been happening at SIG and in the green building industry lately.

Who are you more excited to see? Bon Jovi or SIG?

Some of the SIG team has already started gearing up for the ultimate green building nerdfest. With an agenda packed full of great speakers, sessions, and building tours lined up--we hope to see some of you there. Maybe we'll bump into you at happy hour!

Does Your Town Have an EcoDistrict?

We are all starting to see the signs of a more eco-conscious world around us every day. EcoDistricts, one of the newest crazes in urban development, are starting to pop-up all over the country. Is there one in your town? Midtown Atlanta is one of the newer ones in the country but there are many more in the works.

Incentives for Driving a Leaf

If you’re thinking about getting a new Nissan Leaf, the Federal Government has put forward a variety of incentives for you. Those who purchase a new qualified plug-in electric drive motor vehicle can receive a non-refundable tax credit that can reach $7,500. An additional credit of up to $30,000 is also available for those who install an alternative fuel vehicle refueling property, such as an installation that can recharge vehicles propelled by electricity. This credit represents 30% of the cost of the refueling property.
Besides the federal government incentives, some local and state governments may also give additional incentives to their residents who purchase a new electric car like the Nissan Leaf. For example, Florida allows unlimited use of HOV lanes to electric vehicles that have a decal issued by the state. Some cities, such as San Jose, give free parking to vehicles that display a clean fuel vehicle sticker issued by the city. Utility companies may give discounted rates to electric vehicle owners during off-peak times. For more information on the federal, state and local incentives that may be available in your area, click here

These incentives are due to expire on December 31, 2013.

Also, a special thanks to Dogwood Catering for all the scrumptious seasonal items on the menu. The squash butternut shooters and bacon wrapped figs were a hit!

Grounds to Grow On.

What is one of your company’s green best practices? At SIG, we have one that you may want to look into. Did you know your K-Cups could have a second life? The KEURIG® Company has set up a whole recycling program for the brewed K-Cup® packs.

We realize that an email isn't nearly large enough to give you as much SIG as you're looking for! We want our clients and fans to learn more about us, what we do, and how we do it.
