Project Spotlight: DCT
River West Distribution Center

The 733k square-foot, speculative distribution warehouse is located just outside of Atlanta in Lithia Springs, Georgia. DCT Industrial purchased and developed the property with plans to pursue LEED Core + Shell Certified level certification. However, through significant energy-efficient features, usage of recycled content, regional, and low-emitting building materials, and with a full-team commitment from the beginning phases of the project to the end, LEED Core + Shell Silver certification was achieved on October 12th, 2015.

SIG, Easter Seals of North Georgia, and Recycling

SIG’s latest philanthropy project was held on October 26th—SIG team members volunteered at Easter Seals of North Georgia. We taught the children about recycling, helped to set up a recycling program for the building, and even helped optimize their energy consumption via tweaking the thermostat settings and adjusting dampers. We all enjoyed going back again and getting to interact with the children in their classrooms.
