Many Thanks to Our Donors and Judicial Volunteers!

In both 2013 and 2014, funding for the Flaschner Judicial Institute was cut back significantly due to the steep decline in Massachusetts IOLTA revenue. Even though we cannot list our donors by name, please know how much we appreciate your generous support! If you haven’t yet contributed and would like to do so, please click on the button below.

Coming This Spring!

Massachusetts Guide to Evidence - 2015 Edition

The Flaschner Judicial Institute will be distributing the 2015 official print edition of the Massachusetts Guide to Evidence to all sitting trial and appellate justices this spring. The new edition incorporates important appellate decisions issued in 2014 and in early January 2015, including those on eyewitness identifications, adds new sections about opening and closing arguments, restitution, and child welfare cases, and has "restyled" certain text to conform to the "plain English" now used in the Federal Rules of Evidence.

At the request of the Supreme Judicial Court Advisory Committee on Massachusetts Evidence Law, the Flaschner Judicial Institute has already distributed an electronic copy of "Prepublication Excerpts" from the forthcoming 2015 Edition of the Massachusetts Guide to Evidence.

2013-2014 Hon. Herbert P. Wilkins Appellate Year-in-Review
