Another Teaching Season for the books!

From spring workshops to the summer's Permaculture Design Course & Permaculture Academy, this season's teaching offerings were a great success.  Students contributed greatly to an energetic learning space & found community while doing so.
Many thanks to Sustainable Settings in Carbondale for hosting the PDC, and big shoutout to Basalt Mountain Gardens for their support too.  The real spectacle of the PDC was a CRMPI social designs project, inspired by the ongoing SUP application.
PDC students attended
the Eagle County Planning Hearing

Many students spoke in support of CRMPI's efforts & legacy, sighting their inspiring experiences on Basalt Mountain and the ways permaculture can lead us to a more balanced economic future.  To the left, a packed courthouse room in El Jebel.

CRMPI was blessed again this year with some wonderful volunteers!
Big thanks to Maya (pictured above, far left) and Jesse (above, far right) for all their hard work & dedication to animal livelihood, plant cultivation, & trail restoration in the food forest.  We miss you!
Also pictured, Fallon (center left), who has been full time staff through the season, and has been steady to #keepitsmallkeepitmoving, and Barbara (center right), who traveled from Slovakia to volunteer!
Two more international volunteers
have helped us this season.  Vanita (right) brought an abundance of visionary art energy to CRMPI.  Maria (left) will be out again for two weeks.
Many others have spent time at CRMPI this season, sharing their labor & good spirits.  If you're one of them, we appreciate you!!
Brock & Ellie visited us on their honeymoon trip!
With their own permaculture homestead in Lafayette, Louisiana, Brock brought lots of plant knowledge & Ellie blessed us with her cooking & kraut making skills.
If you're in the South, stop by!  Or if you're looking for a winter internship program, check them out at brockelliepatch.com or on IG @brockelliepatch
