Catch Indiana 811 at the Park!

Citizens Gas Vectron Live Smart
Indianapolis Indians Evansville Otters Baseball

In the spring we previewed some of the minor league baseball promotions that Indiana 811 and several member utilities partnered on this season. We’re halfway through the summer and already the promotions have been a homerun. Take a peek at some of the upcoming promotions Indiana 811, Vectren and Citizens Gas have in store for August:

Evansville Otters
Evansville contractors have been invited to celebrate "811 Night" at the Evansville Otters game on August 11 (8/11) to watch the Otters take on the Washington Wild Things. Indiana 811 and Vectren purchased 250 tickets to share with area contractors and their families. This game was chosen because the date on the calendar (8/11) provides a unique opportunity for Vectren and Indiana 811 to remind customers, employees and contractors of the importance of calling Indiana 811 before any digging project.

Indianapolis Indians
Citizens Gas and Indiana 811 will host a Diamond Dig on August 5 at Victory Field in downtown Indianapolis. Contestants will dig in one of four sandboxes located at each base on the field in search of a one-carat diamond. Each of the four contestants will be given a spoon and 60 seconds to try and find the diamond in their sandbox. If the diamond isn’t found in 60 seconds the contestants will rotate around the bases to the next sandbox to try and find the diamond, repeating until the diamond has been located. One lucky contestant will go home with not only a diamond, but a valuable reminder to always call Indiana 811.

For your chance to win two tickets to this game, just reply to this email saying that you’re interested in Indians tickets for the August fifth game by this Friday, July 29. We’ll pick five winners and notify them on Monday, August first.

Holey Moley

Call Before You Dig

Holey Moley was excited to hear that the NFL was able to come to a collective bargaining agreement because he’s ready to make his big screen debut at Lucas Oil Stadium this season. Indiana 811 and Holey Moley will be featured at every Colts home game this year on the LED boards located in the corners of both end zones. Be sure to keep an eye out for our furry friend as he reminds fans to call Indiana 811 before digging.

The 411 on 811

In recognition of 8/11 Day, Indiana 811 will again partner with Marco’s Pizza to create a special offer of two large, one-topping pizzas for $8.11 each. This opportunity serves as another reminder to Marco’s customers to always contact Indiana 811 two full working days before digging. Click here to find a Marco’s Pizza location near you, and be sure to use code HD811 if you buy $8.11 pizzas at Marcos.com on 8/11.
