Dear Indiana 811 Members,
Thanks to you, 2012 was a banner year for Indiana 811. Before 2012 comes to a close, I'd like to take the opportunity to reflect on the many accomplishments we've made as a team. I'm thrilled to report that as of the end of November, inbound requests to Indiana 811 are up 12.8 percent from the same time last year. We also set a new record in May when the call center processed 89,955 requests, the highest number received in a single month in our 31-year history.
Indiana 811 has also achieved many milestones this year. We created new radio advertisements, became a LEED-certified building, partnered with CGA to sponsor the Race to South Beach, produced a customized Superbowl XLVI care package and successfully partnered with the Indianapolis Colts, Marco's Pizza and minor league baseball teams throughout the state. As you'll see in this final 2012 edition of The Dirt, the combined efforts of Indiana 811 and our members have led to millions of media impressions across the state and positive exposure at statewide events.
As we look forward to 2013, I would like to express my gratitude for all that we've accomplished with the help of our members and partners. Your involvement with Indiana 811 this year has contributed significantly to the safety of your employees and our communities.
