September Shows

Rock / Power Pop / Hard Rock / Progressive Rock

Hi Rocker,

Welcome to the Strange Hues news e-mail. Thanks for signing up!  In it you'll find updates on what I'm doing musically.  Don't worry, I only send these out about once a month.  If you don't want to hear from me again, I understand, just click on the unsubscribe link at the bottom of this page.

I hope that life has been treating you well.  August was a bit of a whirlwind with me doing 6 shows.  Five with the two different bands that I'm working with plus a solo show.  I had an amazing time!  It was my first solo show in a very long time.  I played a few of my own songs, so that was a treat.

The Show

Saturday, September 28 - Bernie Fest
with O. C. D.
Touch of Texas – Binghamton, NY
Additional details

Videos / Web-site
If you haven't been to a show recently, you can catch some live videos of me performing with the bands that I've been working with.  There's a video from August 2 of O. C. D. and me doing Quiet Riot's Metal Health at Ransom Steele Tavern in Apalachin, NY.  Lot's of fun!

I've been working on a new site, so feel free to surf around on it.  There's more to come, but you'll find show listings, music videos and streams of my own songs as well as the live videos there.

I'm getting the itch to start recording again.  In the past I've reworked Disarm by the Smashing Pumpkins, Merry Little Minuet by Sheldon Harnick, She's Not There by The Zombies and Voulez Vous by ABBA.  I'd be interested to know what songs you'd like to hear me take a shot at.  I'm looking for a challenge!

The Bands
I've been singing with a couple of bands for the last several months.  O. C. D. and Halfway to Hell, both are cover bands.  O. C. D. is based out of Binghamton, NY and is mostly a hard classic rock band though we mix things up a bit.

Halfway to Hell is an AC/DC tribute band featuring two singers.  One does the Bon Scott vocals and I do the Brian Johnson vocals.  I'm actually a fill in singer for when their regular guy can't do a show.  The bands are very different, but both are comprised of talented performers.  I'm having a blast!  Be sure to catch a show if you can.

Thanks for listening,
~ Huetensil
