The Red Lantern Night Market brings people together to support the local Japanese American community.

Red Lantern Night Market Returns this Weekend

Join us this weekend for food, drink and entertainment at the Red Lantern Night Market! The Night Market takes place Friday and Saturday nights at the Mad Art Gallery, located across from Anheuser-Busch brewery in south St. Louis.

The Night Market was established to bring the community together to support Asian American civil rights in our region. The open-air event features Japanese-style street food, beer and cocktails, retail, and cultural experiences. There will also be a live DJ as well as taiko performances throughout the evening.

Tickets are $15 in advance or $20 at the door, with proceeds benefitting the Japan America Society of St. Louis (JAS) and the Japanese American Citizens League (JACL). Each ticket includes a complimentary Kirin beer upon entry so you can sip and stroll while you check out the entertainment. Advance tickets are recommended, as the previous Night Market held in June sold out! We hope to see you there!

Upcoming Events - Memphis Japan Fest

Next month we travel to Memphis, Tennessee for the Memphis Japan Fest and we hope you can join us!

Located at the Memphis Botanic Garden, the festival will include martial arts demonstrations, cosplay and Japanese street fashion shows, art and cultural activities, and a variety of musical entertainment. Pokémon Go players are also encouraged to attend the festival, where there will be more than 40 PokéStops for plenty of hunting throughout the day.

We're excited to be joining this year's festival and we hope to see you there for a day of food and fun!

Masks are required while in any indoor areas at Memphis Botanic Garden. Hand sanitizer stations and hand washing facilities will be available. Any changes will be announced on the festival's website and on the Memphis Japan Festival Facebook page.
