NID Board Meeting this Wednesday: CANCELLED

The NID Board normally meets on the 2nd & 4th Wednesday of the month at 9:00am.

NID Publishes Centennial Audit Report

NID has struggled with being transparent about Centennial costs. After public pressure and a Board request, NID agreed to do an independent audit.

NID finally published the independent CPA audit report on July 3, 2018.  What did they find?

As of 2017, NID has cumulatively spent $11.9 million on Centennial (not including any costs before 2014). In addition, they have budgeted to spend an additional $4 million next year.

Questions still not answered: How much will this project cost? How will NID pay for it? We don't know.

Read the full report here and come to the next Board Meeting, Wednesday July 25th to learn more.

We are thrilled to present Impacts and Alternatives: The Dam Story. Mark your calendars for August 1st; SYRCL and Wild & Scenic will be screening two brand new films exploring:
  • the impacts of dams
  • what a post-removal restoration looks like
  • how communities are connecting to their rivers
  • what they will do to protect beloved waterways
A panel discussion will follow, where you can learn about what dam alternatives are out there. Proceeds benefit SYRCL and support our ongoing fight against the proposed Centennial Dam on the Bear River.
Advance Tickets: $10 (SYRCL Members)/ $12 (Non-Members)
At the Door: $12 (SYRCL Members)/ $14 (Non-Members)
