Bear River Recreation Rally

On February 21st, SYRCL, Foothills Water Network and the Sierra Club hosted a Bear River Recreation Rally in Sacramento at the next California Water Commission (CWC) meeting. Bear River advocates showed up en masse to express gratitude to the CWC for their open public process and thorough evaluation of Proposition 1 applications, specifically that of Centennial Dam. Read more about the exciting rally here. You can also check out these articles from The Union and Fox 40 for press coverage.

Bear River advocates, particularly those who made the trek to our Capital, all deserve a huge thanks.

Check out this Op-Ed by SYRCL's own Melinda Booth, Executive Director, and Rachel Hutchinson, Science Director, about our changing climate and dwindling snow pack, and the implications for water conservation in our region.
