Bethany's Favorite Month
December 7, 2012
|Hi <<First Name>>,
There is so much to share, so I will try to keep it brief!
Brand New Web Site
We want everyone to know about our brand new Web site and blog! We're calling it "It's All Grace" and you can visit it here: http://itsallgrace.net
This will be a key place for us to share ongoing stories and updates about our family, and post encouraging thoughts and insights as we journey ahead. Please take a moment to visit our new site.
Support Letters Are Coming Your Way!
Our official printed support letters are in the mail and headed to your mailbox! If you don't receive one soon or if you're not sure if you're on our postal list, please reply with your address and we'll make sure we send one out to you. We hope you will pray and consider partnering with us as we join God's movement in Central and Eastern Europe.
We flew to Yakima, Washington to enjoy Thanksgiving with Bethany's family. It was great to catch up with family and friends and to share about what the Lord is doing with our family. We even had the opportunity to meet with the head of the missions committee at Bethany's home church and we're praying for a future partnership with them. Visiting "Nana and Papa's" house is really fun for our kids, and so much so that Titus legitimately couldn't sleep the night before our flight because he was so excited. Thank you Nana and Papa for a wonderful Thanksgiving!
A short update about our trip and some photos are on our new blog in a post titled "A Little Full": http://www.itsallgrace.net/a-little-full/
We also had the blessing of having my parents in town from Kentucky for a few days before we left for Washington. While we were away, they celebrated Thanksgiving at my sister's house. When we got back home, my parents had completely cleaned our condo, including the carpets! It was such a wonderful feeling coming home to a spotless house. Thanks mom and dad for blessing us that way!
Avery Turns 1
Our daughter Avery turned 1 on November 29th and we genuinely can't believe how fast the time has gone. It has been a joy to watch her grow this past year and the change from birth to 1 is just incredible. She had a lot of fun stuffing her face full of cake, but she couldn't quite figure out how to blow out the candle.
Annual Christmas Video
A fun little tradition for the past 4 years has been our Christmas tree video. It's always fun to get out the camera while we select that perfect tree. You can watch the video by clicking the image below or on our blog.
As we enter this Christmas season we are excited to celebrate the birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ. While listening to an original song by Sovereign Grace this week, this lyric struck me: "He was born to bring forgiveness, born for Calvary. Alleluia, Hope has come. Alleluia, Christ has come." We can rejoice that God sent His own Son for us. His life was set apart from birth to be the sacrifice for our sins. Romans 5:8 says it so clearly, "...but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." We are so thankful for the graciousness of our God in sending His Son!
Merry Christmas from our family!
If you are in the Yakima, WA area, we will be returning for a few days on January 19-22. We will be hosting two dessert/coffee nights and would love to have you join us to hear about our ministry.
Please pray for us as we begin to dive deep in to our support raising. We have a few trips planned in the coming months and we're hoping for God to provide all of our financial support by the summer of 2013.
Please pray as we enter this Christmas season that our hearts would be focused on Christ and His birth.
