REFLECTING ON 2015....

The Lord has done great things for us and we are filled with joy! Psalm 126:3
In 2015....

Michelle, a mom who has overcome addiction and grief from the loss of both parents, graduated from our single moms program, and we were able to help her move into an apartment with her two year old daughter.

A hospital in Bellevue contacted us regarding an Ethiopian woman, Deborah - a mom of premature twins who was facing homelessness. We were able to help Deborah with housing and transportation to medical appointments, as well as find more suitable long term housing for her and her twin boys.

Deisa, from Micronesia, came to House of Hope speaking very little English, did not have her daughter in her care and wasn't working. While living in our program Deisa was able to enroll her daughter in Kindergarten, get a job working full time, and attend ESL classes in the area. We just said a bittersweet goodbye to Deisa in December.

Rachael, a young mom with an 18 month old little girl, was expecting her second child in September. She chose to place that baby, her son, for adoption with a family she knew would love him forever. Rachael was able to move into House of Hope a week after the adoption, and receive love, support and guidance as she moved through the grieving process. She recently started working as a CNA and is saving money for a car.

BriAnna came to New Beginnings Home with just 30 days sober. She was raised in a Christian home, but had spent the last few years running from God. Finding out she was pregnant, she knew she needed help with her drug use and admitted herself into a medical treatment facility. While living at New Beginnings, she was able to focus on her goals for the future and complete a program for dental assisting. Her son is now 8 months old and she attends Celebrate Recovery weekly. We are so proud of her as she just celebrated 1 year of sobriety!

Natasha lived at New Beginnings Homes while she was pregnant with her daughter. She was eager to learn how to make healthier choices for herself and her growing baby. She delivered a healthy baby girl last May, is sharing an apartment with another single mom in the area and working as a CNA.
