NFNL Expands Counseling for Teen Girls

Recently, NFNL provided sexual abuse recovery for 55 teen girls at the Letot Girls’ Center in Dallas. By the end of the year, the NFNL Counseling team will reach more than 135 abused teen girls with abuse and sex trafficking prevention and intervention therapy. The girls learn to how to create a safe environment, change negative coping behaviors, heal from past traumas by sharing their story in safe place, and learn they are not alone.

NFNL, in partnership with Trauma Support services of North Texas, trains counselors in the Dallas community on trauma-related therapy techniques. Learn more about how counselors help teens recognize if they are being trafficked.

4 Reasons to Give

Top Reasons to Support New Friends New Life
  • The average age of entry into sexual exploitation is 13 years old. Often, NFNL is the first holistic avenue of support for these traumatized girls and women.
  • As formerly exploited women begin to heal from trauma and abuse, this positivity radiates to their children and breaks the cycle of poverty and abuse.
  • Many of the protégés move from a life of government and community dependence to ultimate self-sufficiency through the NFNL programs.
  • NFNL allows you to get involved to offer a local solution to a worldwide epidemic. Sex trafficking is our modern-day form of slavery.
