Help us Make Routes to School Safe

We are working to further Safe Routes to Schools (SRTS) programs that promote health, safety and mobility in communities around Idaho. One way is by helping our partners at Idaho Walk Bike Alliance promote legislation for a policy on dedicated state funding for SRTS. We expect that legislation to be introduced any day now; look for an action alert from us soon as the public hearing may be held shortly after introduction. Stay tuned for more on all our SRTS work, made possible in part with support from the American Heart Association and federal funds through the Idaho Transportation Department.
Does ACHD's Budget Reflect Your Priorities?

We promote citizen engagement in local transportation decisions and encourage residents in the Ada County Highway District to follow two budget open houses this year. The first will be in late March; stay tuned for the date. You can learn more here. You can also attend the ACHD work sessions where staff will present budget details over the next 5 months.
