Spring Event Closes with Fabulous Success!

Over $246,000 raised for St. James' programs

In the past three years, under the leadership of Head of School Deborah David, St. James’ has implemented a robust range of high-quality programs to elevate every student's learning environment. The following programs are fully supported by the Spring Event:

Advanced Technology • Dance • Drama • Music • 1:1 Chromebooks • Preschool Yoga • Young Readers Workshop • and the list goes on...

These programs are only able to exist because of your generosity. We want to thank everyone who supported this year's Spring Event. There were a lot of families who gave above and beyond our expectations – both of their time and financially – and we want you to know how truly appreciative we are. Thank you!

Our "B-Wise Program" wants to help YOU become a better player! Whether it’s for school tryouts, travel ball, or next year's Hollywood–Wilshire League, we aim to increase players' skill level, confidence, and toughness on and off the court.

Coach Nicole brings years of experience playing and coaching at the varsity high school and college levels. She takes the time to explain the “when” and the “why” of each move to increase understanding, which helps deliver a higher basketball IQ.

Film Showing at St. Matthew's Parish School on Thursday

On Thursday, June 11, at 6:00 p.m., St. Matthew's Parish School will host a screening of Most Likely to Succeed, a Sundance Film Festival edu-documentary. Here's a blurb from the film's website:

Our education system was perfectly designed...to prepare workers for routine jobs that no longer exist. As we try to out-drill and out-test Korea we are leaving millions of young adults ill-prepared, uninspired and lacking the skills they need to thrive in an innovation economy. After seeing this film, you'll never look at school the same way again.

The screening is free for all attendees. Sign up online »
