St. James' Preschool Celebrates Week of the Young Child

This week, the students, families, and faculty of the St. James' Preschool commemorated the annual Week of the Young Child, an event sponsored by the National Association for the Education of Young Children, celebrating early learning, young children, and their teachers, nannies, and families.

The week included nanny and parent classes (in English and Spanish), Birdie Playhouse, Jazz Tuesday with Robert and Erick, Franklin's Marionettes, music by Dan Crow, a performance by Bob Baker's Marionettes, and a treasure hunt! (Click the links for photos.)

What an exciting week of events! Thanks to everyone who helped make this week one to remember!

We're Looking for a New Commercial Printing Service!

After 30 years in business, Columbia Printing – owned by Eddie Lee, a St. James' alumni parent – is closing its doors as Eddie retires. While we're excited for Eddie as he embarks on a new journey, we're less excited to be in the market for a new printing service!

Got a lead on a great, fast, reliable, and inexpensive service? Please let Communications Manager Michael Lavigne know Â»

These Dogs Need a Home!

from St. James' parent Paul Robbins

I need to find a home for the two of them together – Monty (a brown dapple boy, 11) and Lulu (black long-haired girl, 9). They have always been together. No special needs; Lulu, being long-haired, needs a bit more grooming and attention on that front. We used to have a cat, and that worked out; great with children. Bark at strange dogs but get on well once they know them. They both sleep a lot in the day and together at night. I only walk them once a day; Monty, the older one, is very active and runs about the apartment, which is often his exercise. Both pure bred. They have all their shots, just had teeth cleaned, and my friend is a vet and owner of the VCC in Hollywood, who will take care of anything they need at no expense. They are used to being inside/outside dogs.
