Save the date! Our next Digital Data Resource Show & Share is scheduled for Thursday August 26 at 9:30 a.m. Stay tuned for more info about featured tools.

While we still need better public access to local data, too often we don't even know about the data that is available. Hosted by LISC San Antonio, the Alamo Regional Data Alliance (ARDA), and CI:Now, the Show & Share is intended to help us all discover and use these local data resources. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A.

Register in advance for Show & Share:

After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.

Data for UWSA Impact Councils

Map of late or no prenatal care by zip code Bexar County

Did you know CI:Now supports the data needs of the United Way of San Antonio and Bexar County's Impact Councils? At Impact Council startup we help the collaborating partners choose population indicators that will measure progress toward the shared result. Once an Impact Council is up and running, our job is to collect, analyze, and visualize data for each indicator, and help the partners understand the data's limits and implications. We trend the data, slice it by race/ethnicity and other factors where available, and map it by ZIP code. Visit the United Way site to learn more about the work of the four Impact Councils: Ready Children, Successful Students, Strong Individuals and Families, and Safety Net.

We've also been working on new data for the ReadyKidSA coalition with United Way support. Look for updates to the ReadyKidSA Scorecard a bit later this summer.

In case you missed it...

Supported by a grant from the Kronkosky Charitable Foundation, in June CI:Now released a major update to the Viz-a-lyzer, a data tool we built with local nonprofits in mind. Take a look at the June 2021 Release Notes to see which indicators were included in that update.

Our team's been working on the final round of 2021 Viz-a-lyzer updates. Watch this space for more info about the next release.
