Hospital Project in Benin
L’Hôpital Évangélique de Bembereke
In mid-September, I led an EMI team of architects, engineers, and surveyors to Benin where we partnered with HEB to map and plan for their future growth. Throughout the time, I had the privilege of French/English interpreting and translating, trying to communicate very technically and specifically about medical care and equipment, as well as electrical components, pumps, pipes, and sewage. It was a great learning opportunity, and I praise the Lord for a few other missionaries there who were also able to help with translation, as it is still an exhausting task for me!
God brought us to work with the all-Beninese hospital leadership at a key time as they seek counsel, trusting Him to bring them together with an ongoing focus of sharing the gospel in word and deed. Praise God for this project to serve with the Beninese church as they share Jesus through the hospital! Pray for continued unity and vision for the hospital, that the light of Jesus would penetrate the surrounding regions for His glory.
