Sixty-one pump boats are providing livelihood for families in Palompon, Leyte. Here's an update from our first boat family.

Dear <<First Name>>, each week, we hope to pass on short updates from our livelihood recipients about how the fishing boat and putput bicycle taxi projects are helping them.

We still have many families on the waiting list, for both putputs and pump boats. Someone stops by the SOD center to inquire on almost a daily basis.  

Here is an update from our first boat recipient.

It is through this livelihood opportunity that I am now able to provide for our daily needs and this has greatly helped to send and support my children for school. We are so grateful to our sponsor for entrusting us a motorized pump boat.  It is a blessing from God.”

Boats have been reduced in price to $550 USD, completely outfitted with an engine and other necessary parts.  A putput bicycle taxi is $350 USD.
