Dear <<First Name>>,
It was great to have two more of the SOD Board members here to check-in on what God is doing. Certainly, one of highlights had to be the Annual Boat Reunion. Witnessing 87 boats coming in from their villages and lining up was an unforgettable experience.
Seven additional pumpboats were dedicated and released at the reunion.
The pumpboat family is growing! Over 350 persons attended the reunion
We were able to travel to several areas in the larger "William O" boat, often with escort boats traveling beside us.
Friendships deepen each time we visit places like Mag-Asu where almost all families use pumpboats for their livelihood.
Just a routine day going to church!
We were able to personally visit with most of the 100+ scholars supported by SOD donors.
Two more putputs, #52 and #53 were dedicated and released. We also attended the weekly putput Bible study.
We traveled to the Davao School for the Blind and participated in their Sunday church service. We also had lunch one day with two of the students under scholarship for grade 11 at the AMA computer training school.
The Tim Tebow Foundation Night to Shine event in Davao was in partnership with the Tebow Cure Hospital, SOD and many others. Witnessing the event was another unforgettable experience. Some of the students from Davao School for the Blind were again able to attend.
Most of the shirts and dresses for the NTS Event came from SOD donors. Even the bow ties. Thanks so much!
In partnership with Eddie Vega, we gave out over 500 pairs of shoes at different sites. This photo is from the Balay Pasilungan in Datu Salumay, Marilog District.
While in Datu Salumay, we visited with the 20 sponsored high school students at the Marilog High School of Agriculture and also the two students who are sponsored for college.
Our partnership with La Roca Ministries continues to grow and we attended a new church plant in the mountains in the Baguio District of Davao. This church started from a VBS program sponsored by SOD in August of 2018.
Several community based feeding programs received encouraging visits. Kelly is here with some of the kids at the Pamuhatan Elementary School in the Marilog District. The kids are gaining weight at all sites, attendance has increased and the overall health of the children has improved.
Hearts were touched on both sides of the table as we spent a lot of time at the new Care Center.
Good for Cheryl and Kelly to see first hand hand how this God inspired home for children and their mothers functions on a daily basis. Three of the kids pictured here are now back in their homes in Aklan, Bayugan and Leyte. (from three different areas of the Philippines) We will see them again soon as they return for recastings and rechecks.
There is a lot more posted on the Facebook site for Seeds of Dignity Ministries, including several videos of key trip events.
Thanks for your prayers and faithful support for all of what God has placed in front of us in 2019.
With cups overflowing in gratitude,
For the recent team, SOD staff members and many recipients of your generosity and kindness
