Dear <<First Name>>,
Several years ago, the first wife of Reynaldo died of kidney failure. God brought Genalyn into his life and soon after, two more children joined the family. Then, in November of 2013, Reynaldo and his family were hit again by a second tragedy - Super Typhoon Yolanda. They lost most of their possessions and their sole source of livelihood, an old and simple pump boat. Life looked very hopeless for them but Reynaldo trusted in God during these hard times. He noticed other fishermen using boats provided by God through SOD Ministries and applied to be a boat recipient in 2016. They prayed hard for a replacement boat and their prayers were answered.
Today, they proudly operate the Nicholas Rhys fishing boat and receive a regular income from the proceeds of their hard work. In three more years, they will be given ownership of the boat, once they have shown good stewardship in the use and maintenance of the boat. Like the other 61 current boat recipients, they pay P100 (2 USD) each week into a cooperative account for maintenance and repairs so that the boats will continue to be in a good running condition. This also trains the fishermen to set aside funds for their future needs.
Three more boats are on order. The cost of a fishing boat, complete with a motor, is $550 USD. Boat building also helps to support two other families.

“The – Nicholas Rhys is a great blessing to my family. It is an answered prayer to have a boat like this after my original boat was destroyed in Typhoon Yolanda. This boat is much stronger and has a new engine. The boat greatly helps provide for our needs every day as you can see from this recent picture of a large squid. Grateful to my sponsor for the blessing of pump boat for our family through Seeds of Dignity Ministries"
