Thank You All,
2016 Student President
Aaron Mallenbaum '17

As I reflected on why I am thankful over Thanksgiving Break, my mind was repeatedly drawn to how grateful I am to have led Hillel's Student Executive Board for the past year.

Together - and with the help of countless other student leaders - we hosted Big Red Bar Mitzvah, Josh Peck, a Charity Handball Tournament, Lilah Lavan, Multiculutural Shabbat, Hillel Buddies, and so many more events for all types of students.

Looking back, it is not the programs themselves that stand out to me, but instead the Cornell Hillel student board members' passion and dedication that fueled the programs' creation and execution.
I am so lucky to have led such an inspirational team, and the Jewish community is so fortunate to have such incredible leaders."
Welcome All,
2017 Student President
Brandon Cohen '18

I am so honored to have been elected as your president. It is a privilege to have this role and I am excited to share and implement many ideas.

Since I arrived on campus, Cornell Hillel has been there for me and inspired me to become the strong student leader I am today. Hillel's warm and welcoming environment inspired me to get more involved in Jewish Life on campus, allowing me to serve in many roles  (including Chair of Cultural Programing and Hillel Orientation Team Member).

As President, I look forward to working with you to continue the amazing work done by my predecessors.  I would love to hear your ideas, questions and comments, so feel free to contact me any time at

I cannot wait for the amazing year ahead!

Finding Common Ground
Tuesday, December 6, 6:30 PM
The Just Be Cause Center

After a difficult election campaign, now is the time to reach out to one another and engage in meaningful, peaceful dialogue. And why not have fun while doing so? The Ithaca Coalition for Unity and Cooperation in the Middle East (ICUCME) invites the community to an evening of holiday crafts, delicious food, and community conversation; a vegetarian pot-luck will be followed by a discussion of “Finding Common Ground.”

The creative portion of the evening will feature crafts for adults (though all ages are welcome), such as bobbin lace, origami peace cranes, and bean mosaics. The event will be held at the Just Be Cause Center, 1013 W State St, Ithaca. The event is free but donations are appreciated.

Please RSVP here. For more information, email or check out ICUCME's Facebook.
