Hello! It has been a while.

Just like previous years, this one has been full of big shifts for us over here at WOMAN, Inc. We invite you to take a look at what we've been up to as well as how you can support survivors/their families this holiday season below:
If you follow us on social media, you may have seen that we've made some changes to our organizational structure. After a fiscal crisis just over a decade ago, our team got to work, thoughtfully reimagining an organizational structure that honors the collective wisdom of all stakeholders and fosters long-term sustainability. As a first step to diffuse power from traditional executive leadership roles, we spent years co-developing and finalizing our Cultural Praxis which was finally completed in 2014. Four years later, we engaged in a six-month process of brainstorming and consensus-building — fleshing out our organizational DNA in our 2018 Theory of Change. This document, our North Star, outlined our mission, vision and strategies designed to ensure our work was grounded in justice, shared power and supportive of emerging leadership at all levels. As a continued embodiment of these visions and values, we are pleased to share an exciting shift in our current leadership structure. Effective July 1, 2021, W.O.M.A.N., Inc. has officially transitioned into a Co-Director Leadership model. Mary Martinez, our former Associate Director, will be joining Jill Zawisza, former Executive Director, as Co-Directors.
Learn more about this change on our blog and/or listen to our podcast!

Please help empower survivors of domestic violence -- Join us in supporting our Annual Adopt a Family Holiday Gift Card Drive! W.O.M.A.N., Inc. is asking donors to provide gift cards, rather than actual wrapped presents, for participating families. Your donation of a gift card allows the survivor to be part of the holiday shopping experience, allowing them to pick out the best gifts for themselves or their children. All of our participating clients are engaged in our programs and have a vested interest in making some big changes in their lives, and the lives of their children. Many of these clients are finding it difficult to find work, or their jobs allow them to provide the bare minimum for their families.

Last year, WOMAN, Inc. launched our very first podcast. Since, we've been able to share conversations covering topics across levels of practice -- from nonprofit leadership to working with survivors to exploring our collective healing work. Find it here.
