Your presence at next Monday's BOE meeting is crucial, and the most important time we will ask you to take action.
On Monday, June 24th, Superintendent Brian Luizzi will be presenting the results of the survey that was taken by students, parents, and the community back in May. After the results are shared, members of the Board will discuss and make a recommendation on which option(s) to develop further over the summer in preparation for the November budget cycles.
We are not 100% sure that the Board will even agree that Later School Start Times should be looked into further. After almost 3 years at this, we still don't know any of the Board members' opinions on this subject. And we don't know Dr. Luizzi's opinion, either.
This is why it is VITAL and SO IMPORTANT that we fill the room and get as many people to speak as possible. This may be our last opportunity to voice our support for healthy school start times.
We know that school is out, and some people may be headed on vacation. But if you are here, please, please put this date in your calendar and show up. We need you!
