Every moment holds within it both an ending and beginning
This week, we are discussing:

Like 'choose'day news - beginnings on Facebook

This week has been a huge learning curve for me. I've left my home of the last 9 years, packed up myself, my dog and my personal things and moved across the country. Three days on the road (about 35 hours) will give you a lot of thinking time. And so much of the trip was spent thinking about who I might be, what I would do and how strange it would be to not have my support network here in my new home. So a lot of time thinking about new beginnings.

When you are packing up your things to move, there is a reflective time and also the thoughts of 'what should I take' and 'what should I leave, get rid of?'
And now as I start unpacking, it's a similar process. I am not the same now, 3 days later, as I was when I left Perth. And yet I am. It got me thinking about endings and beginnings. D0 things really end? Or just change? Who I am has not ended. Who I will be is not just beginning. Everything is always changing.

As exciting as this new beginning is, it is also somewhat frightening. And this is good. When we are afraid we can push through that, knowing that it just means we are working really hard on making things work out, on being better, on being our best. If we never felt that sense of anticipation and fear it could mean we have spent too long in 'the comfort zone'.

It's when we step away from the comfort zone that we find out about ourselves. What do we like? What or who means so much to us and why? I love all of my friends for different reasons. They each unique and our friendship is unique. I can't remember who said it now (maybe Tony Robbins), but they said 'when two people meet, a new world that never existed before is formed'. I still have those worlds and am in the process of new ones being created.

So, as I sit here, surrounded my boxes, I'm thinking- there are no beginnings and no endings. And yet in every moment there is an ending so the next moment can begin. Maybe it is all just change. And the more comfortable we are with that, the easier and more in flow we feel. Right now if feels right to be here and I'm sure there will be moments in the future when it will seem like it is all a big mistake, or maybe it won't. Either way, right now I'm out of my comfort zone and I hope to stay there for while yet.

Have a great festive season however you celebrate it and embrace the changes, beginnings and endings. xx

have a great week.

Til next time

It may be hard for an egg to turn into a  bird; it would be a jolly sight harder for it to learn how to fly while remaining an egg. We are like eggs at present. And you cannot go on indefinately being just an ordinary decent egg. We must be hatched or go bad.
