Envision Littleton received over 100 comments and we wanted to say thanks for taking the time to review both the Comprehensive & Transportation Master Plans! We appreciate your continued interest, energy, and dedication to the next 20 years of our City!
Envision Littleton is a community-driven process to develop a unifying vision for Littleton that will directly inform the City’s plans for the next 10-20 years.
Every quarter the City of Littleton council members go out into the community to tour businesses; meeting owners and company personnel to learn more about all the interesting and unique business within our city borders! This quarter was a deep-dive into all the fascinating aspects of A-1 Scuba & Travel. District 1 Councilman Pat Driscoll and his wife were on site along with Craig Hospital President and CEO Jandel Allen-Davis joining A1-Scuba & Travel owners, Lynn and Scott Taylor in a tour of their facility. Lynn and Scott have been avid divers since the late 1960s! Lynn oversees the in-house travel agency and accounting for the business and Scott primarily handles the education department but is hands-on in all aspects of the business. Two things you may not know about this facility is that it has an indoor pool and, for over 40 years, A-1 Scuba has provided FREE adaptive scuba lessons and partners with Craig Hospital to provide scuba experiences to those living with spinal cord injuries, brain injuries and other disabilities.
A-1 Scuba was a recent recipient of the Revitalization Incentive Grant that the Economic Development department for City of Littleton awards to businesses to encourage private property investment and improvements while making revitalization efforts affordable, creative and beneficial to the community. The grant made it possible to assist in needed updates to the building’s parking lot including ADA improvements which helps benefit their adaptive scuba program.
A-1 Scuba & Travel has been around since 1959 and is Colorado’s largest scuba facility serving the Front Range. They offer service and rentals, beginner scuba diving lessons and travel services. They are a full-service travel agency offering excellent deals on dive trips and vacations, customizing your trip to get you to your perfect destination. Congratulations to the Human Society of the South Platte Valley for being awarded a $35,000 grant to help expand their care for animals from rural communities. The resources are used to rehabilitate both medical and behavioral issues, providing adoption resources and rehoming of displaced pets. HSSPV works to reunite lost animals with their families and find new homes for stray or abandoned animals. A Media event for the grant took place on September 21. The Petco Foundation has invested more than $250 million in lifesaving animal welfare work since 1999.

Survey Monkey wanted to know the answer to that question so they did the research for you! They looked at factures such as time period (month sent), days of the week, survey topic and audience (customer feedback/satisfaction vs. internal survey of employees in an organization) and response counts, where they limited their analysis to surveys that had between 50-500 responses. With random samplings for each day of the week Monday-Friday, 5am-4pm PST the data showed that Monday is the best day for a business to send out a survey and Friday was show to have the lowest survey response rates. Read the full story and response rates for both customer and internal employees here and also why your survey’s timing can affect where your respondents see your survey and how they respond.
