President's Message

With ACEP14 in Chicago in the rearview mirror, we can now start thinking about Boston, the site of next year’s ACEP Scientific Assembly (ACEP15). But as Boston is a whole year off, it’s hard to seriously consider what may happen. It Was My Honor (Flight)
By guest contributor, Dr. Matthew Womack, EM resident at the University of Toledo

Both of my late grandfathers served in the United States Army. One was a paratrooper that broke his back after a parachute malfunction during WWII, and the other was in the infantry during the Korean War. I did not have the privilege of hearing any stories about their experiences. As I have grown older I have always regretted not inquiring more about what life was like during their time in the service.

Earlier this year I was approached by my Associate Program Director and was chosen to participate in the Honor Flight Northwest Ohio as a Medical Director. [Read more]
The Windy City Experience
By Dr. Tyler Hill, Resident Representative to the Ohio ACEP Board of Directors and Alternate Councillor

Similar to the Ohio ACEP Board meeting earlier in the month of October, I immediately felt welcome and as if I was a long-time member. [Read more]
