One Little Match, by the Ghostlight Ensemble, is a two act play entirely written by Bigelow students. Six “unbiased” narrators tell the dramatic story of a bunch of foster kids who want to be together as a family, and their misadventures with law enforcement.
What IS Ghostlight? It’s a Devised Theatre production that will be created by the Ensemble. What is an “ensemble” in this sense? All students cast in the Spring Show, both Tech & Actors. (Not everyone in the ensemble will be performing!) After several weeks of intense team-building activities and group brainstorming/playwriting sessions, a text for a play will be created.
All are invited to the public performances at the school auditorium:
“One Little Match” Thursday, May 16th, 6 pm Friday, May 17th, 7 pm Saturday, May 18h, 7 pm Tickets $5 at the door
Please join us in the library when you arrive at Bigelow to drop off your performers. We’ll have an informal gathering to share our current PoPS activities and gather input for ways to support our Bigelow performing arts community going forward. We’ll have light refreshments and snacks and look forward to getting to know each other.

The PTO is looking for enthusiastic parents and guardians to join our mission! Please consider being an active member of our rewarding organization that directly benefits our children.
Would you like to become more involved in the strategic aspect of the Bigelow PTO, helping direct and manage the overall program for 2019/20? All Bigelow parents and guardians, including those of incoming 6th graders, are encouraged to join the board. The proposed slate of 2019/20 Board members will be voted on at our final PTO meeting of the year on June 3rd. Serving on the Board is a great way to meet other Bigelow parents and help out at your child’s school.
The Bigelow PTO is a volunteer organization dedicated to provide support and information to the school community. Take a look at what we do and what we support.
We have several open positions for next year, including officer and committee roles. Please take a look here.
