Who would have thought that when we first launched HeinOnline in 2000, with just 23 law journals, that one day we would reach 200 million pages? HeinOnline now includes more 3,000 journals, 100 different databases, and contains more than 600,000 total volumes!

New Journals Added to HeinOnline This Month!

With the April content release, we added 13 new journals, seven of which are from a newly signed agreement with Springer. These new journals cover subjects including artificial intelligence, human rights law, gender and the law, and more!

35 Springer Journals Coming to HeinOnline!

HeinOnline is excited to announce that we have partnered with Springer to bring 35 new journals to our Law Journal Library! New Springer journals are being added each month, beginning with our April content release, with the last titles releasing in September. The majority of the journals will be available with a one-year delay; however, there will be a few open-access journals released in coming months that will not be subject to an embargo.

Large Update to Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals

This month, 745 new articles were added to HeinOnline’s Index to Foreign Legal Periodicals (IFLP) database with the addition of issue 2021:07. This database is the preeminent multilingual index to articles and book reviews appearing in nearly 600 legal journals published worldwide.

Customer-Suggested Title Added to HeinOnline

Thank you to Angela Napili, librarian at the Library of Congress, for suggesting that we add Social Security History to our U.S. Federal Legislative History Library! This title, consisting of 93 volumes, was one of 15 added to this database in our April Content Release.


Tip of the Week: How to Use the Restatement Section Locator Tool

Restatements of the Law are a set of treatises on legal subjects that seek to inform judges and lawyers about general principles of common law. These are all published by the American Law Institute, an organization of judges, legal academics, and practitioners founded in 1923, and can be found in HeinOnline’s American Law Institute Library.

Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson Confirmed to the Supreme Court

Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson was recently confirmed to the Supreme Court, making her the first Black woman named to the nation’s highest court. Jackson is replacing Associate Justice Stephen Breyer. While her addition to the bench does not upset the conservative 6-3 lean, she will bring a new outlook as a former trial court judge and public defender.
