The 6th Global Forum will bring together experts to discuss the latest advances in TB vaccine R&D and will provide an opportunity for participants to reflect on the changing global landscape in which this research is being conducted.

Applications for participant support are being accepted through 31 December 2021. Travel and registration support is available for participants who plan to attend in person, and technical and registration support is available for participants who plan to join the virtual component. Participant support is available for students, post-docs, early career researchers, advocates, affected communities, and participants from lower- and middle-income countries. 

Registration is open for the 6th Global Forum, with options for in-person and virtual participation. We understand that you may not know yet how you will participate in the 6th Global Forum given uncertainties around travel. You do have the option to transfer between in-person to virtual participation with no administrative fees (the cost difference in registration fees would apply). So if your plans change, your registration type can easily be changed.

The 6th Global Forum Organizing Partners are carefully monitoring the COVID-19 situation in France and globally. We recognize that there are concerns about international travel and in-person gatherings, but we have also heard from many of you how much you want to meet in-person if it is possible. We expect that we will learn more over the next few weeks about the trajectory of the pandemic and related restrictions to international travel and to convening in France, and believe that it would be premature to cancel the in-person component at this time. We are therefore still planning the 6th Global Forum as a hybrid event, with the in-person component taking place in Toulouse, France. We will review the situation again at the start of the new year and expect to make a more definitive determination by mid-January.
