E-Update - February 2017

Planning for People Initiative

APA MN has received a $60,000 grant from the APA to help build local capacity for integrating planning and public health through its Planning for People initiative. Only 28 APA chapters have received Planners4Health funds.

The Planners4Health initiative is part of APA’s three-year, $9 million program to help communities combat determinants of chronic disease. APA MN will use the funding to create effective messaging, a communications plan, and a set of resources to create understanding of the interconnectedness of planning, health, and equity.

More information can be found on the APA MN website and the APA national website.
