In February, the Unrepresented Nations and Peoples Organization (UNPO) submitted a parliamentary question on the environmental crisis in Ahwaz, a number of alternative reports as part of the universal period review and organised advocacy meetings in Brussels and Washington. For instance, UNPO co-organised a conference at the European Parliament with the International Campaign for Tibet (ICT), the International Federation for Human Rights (FIDH), hosted by Ilhan Kyuchyuk MEP (ALDE) and Thomas Mann MEP (EPP) entitled ‘Chinese counter-terrorism policy:  Impacts and dangers for Tibetans and Uyghurs’. Moreover, UNPO celebrated the 26th anniversary of its foundation.
