The Bible is clear: God created man in His own image, but as absolute truth and morality continue to be attacked, we see this truth being denied as more and more professing Christians see God as they would like to see Him. We should rather surrender to Him and acknowledge His eternal nature and character. This is one of the subjects a listener sent in which we will address today. Other topics people want to touch on include:

What does Calvinism teach regarding salvation and evangelism?
The ongoing controversy and potential schism within the Southern Baptist Convention.
Why is it so hard to focus and why is prayer so difficult at times?
Jehovah's Witnesses concept of the 144,000 "chosen ones" - the only ones who will be saved?
How pastors and teachers can reach both the unsaved and teach holiness to dedicated disciples in the same message.
Why don't pastors and youth group leaders discuss the lies young believers are facing today about creation, sexuality and gender confusion.
Anti-Christian Senator Cory Booker and the Willow Creek Leadership Summit.
Several comments on an article about this generation "building their own god."

Taking Church Security Seriously

The first century church faced the constant persecution and even death if they were caught gathering to worship Jesus Christ.  Every time they got together they were risking their lives.  In countries like North Korea, Iran and China, that threat is still real as every year, thousands of our Christian brothers and sisters are beaten, imprisoned, tortured and some killed for the sake of the gospel.

Here in America we take our historic religious freedom for granted, but there has been a clear increase in violence against churches in our nation and some are warning this is just the beginning.  Safety concerns within Christian Churches have become an important issue and today, Tim Miller of Lionheart International Services Group joins us for a discussion on how churches of every size can protect their families worshiping together.

In our final segment, we talk about spreading the gospel in the poorest of nations as we are joined by Micah McElveen, founder of VAPOR Ministries.  Meeting the poverty needs of the poor is a great way to share the gospel and make disciples of Jesus Christ. Micah tells us how VAPOR is doing that, and about an event in Green Bay June 16 where we can get involved in spreading the gospel in Haiti.

When Church Loses its Biblical Focus

It is interesting and often sad to compare what many of our modern churches look like to the gathering of the saints in the Book of Acts.  The early church had commitment, focus, passion and a deep desire to learn the Apostles' teachings. They were thankful for every blessing and even trials and challenges God allowed in their lives.  They pursued holiness in a world where their very lives were in danger for following Jesus Christ.  Today in America, the pursuit seems to be geared toward self, comfort, and convenience where we try to fit God into our schedules and our worship. We have divided hearts that want the blessings of salvation but not the responsibilities of holy living.

Pastor Mike Abendroth joins us this morning to look at what lessons and principles we can glean from the book of Acts and the early church. We also touch on Britain's "royal wedding" last week and discuss marriage, idolatry, secular humanism, multiculturalism.

Christianity Expelled, Islam Explored in Schools

I am not suggesting the Christian faith should be the only one allowed in public schools – although that is what took place for over a hundred years in America when our country was very different morally and spiritually. I am asking for fairness and justice.

If schools discuss one religion, then others should be allowed as well. But the left won’t go for that because they believe in the total separation of Christianity and state. Keep Jesus out, and anything else goes.

Demanding Justice From An Unjust World

God is eternally and flawlessly just. Human beings are not. But something in every man wants to make sure we are treated justly and to see justice, particularly as Christians. Is it illogical to expect a fallen world to treat us justly? Does the Bible teach us to demand justice or accept that one day God's justice will prevail? A combination perhaps? How do we react when we are treated unjustly by others? By the world?

Dave Wager of Silver Birch Ranch joins us to discuss justice and our role in God's plan. We also look at how young people are forming their own version of God based on their individual beliefs and moral code. It's called creating a god in their own image.

Do You Understand How To Use Your Most Powerful Weapon In The Christian Arsenal?

In our final segment this morning, we look at the Trump Administration's efforts within the Department of Education to reverse some of the horrible damage done by President Obama's radical pro-LGBTQ and anti-Christian mandates.

But first we look at the most powerful weapon in the Christian arsenal: prayer. An all-powerful, just and righteous God actually invites us to come to Him with our hopes, concerns, requests, and fears.  But do we fully understand the power of prayer and even how to pray?  Do we sometimes pray as a last resort when our human efforts have been exhausted and proven ineffective?  Are there restrictions or obligations God puts on our prayers?  And how do we respond when God does not answer our prayers exactly as we think they should be answered?

Elijah Abraham of Living Oasis Ministries joins us to take a biblical look at the power and privilege of prayer in our lives as born-again believers in Jesus Christ. This includes three major categories of prayer.
